Illegal drug use continues to wane among teens, according to the 2013 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. Only about 8.8 percent of youth between the ages of 12 and 17 reported using drugs in 2013, according to the survey—down from the 13 percent who admitted to using in 2009. Alcohol use was down, too: 11.6 percent of teens said they drank, compared to the 12.9 percent who did so in 2012. (Time)
