Last year, 13-year-old Morgan Geyser and her friend Anissa Weier were arrested for stabbing a girl 19 times—apparently believing it would please the fictional online bogeyman Slenderman if they did so. Now, as a judge tries to determine whether the girls should face the judicial system as adults, psychiatrists say Geyser remains under the sway of Slenderman.

“She continues to believe Slenderman is real,” says Dr. Kenneth Robbins. “She continues to believe she has ongoing relationships with several characters from the Harry Potter book who come and visit her, whom she feeds and sometimes sleep over.”

Robbins adds Geyser still wants to please Slenderman. Paraphrasing Geyser, Robbins said, “If he told me to hurt more people I’d have to do it. If he told me to break into someone’s house and stab them, I would have to do it.” (ABC News)
