Earthquake? Floods? Fire? Meh. What you really need to prepare for, says the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is the zombie apocalypse. No, really. FEMA recently hosted a webinar telling folks what they should have on hand just in case the dead decide to rise. It’s a follow-up to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s “Zombie Apocalypse” preparatory guidelines (which proved to be so popular the CDC’s servers crashed), so you know these folks are taking the threat of zombies seriously. Granted, preparing for a zombie apocalypse turns out to be much the same as preparing for any number of potential disasters, according to government officials. Some helpful tips include having plenty of fresh water on hand, keeping an extra flashlight at the ready and having some extra bandages and medications available…just in case. (Yahoo News)
