Many video game makers believe they know what their prime consumers—teen males—want in their gameplay: manly protagonists and weak, scantily-clad women. According to a study by Time, that’s not true.
Of the 1,400 teens questioned during the survey, 47 percent of middle school and 61 percent of high school boys said women are too often objectified. Furthermore, 70 percent of girls and 78 percent of guys don’t care what gender their character is in a game. (Time)
