The good news: According to a recent study published in Pediatrics, children aren’t dying nearly as frequently as they used to in drunk-driving accidents.
The bad news: When children do die, very often the drunk driver was the adult driving them.
According to the study, 2,344 kids under the age of 15 were killed in accidents involving a DUI between 2000 and 2010. About two-thirds of those victims were riding with the drunk drivers themselves. (Time)
